Cenariu Supplier Import for WooCommerce

Description

Cenariu Supplier Import for WooCommerce helps you update simple WooCommerce products from supplier CSV files.

This is an independent plugin by Cenariu. WooCommerce is a project of its respective owner; this plugin is not affiliated with or endorsed by WooCommerce.

Choose a file, match its columns, review the proposed changes, then confirm the import. Existing products are matched by their unique SKU. New products are created as drafts so you can review them before publishing.

Free features:

  • Manual CSV import with comma, semicolon or tab separators.
  • Product name, regular price and stock quantity.
  • Optional percentage markup and fixed amount.
  • Select which existing product fields to update.
  • Saved supplier settings for repeat imports.
  • Background batches with pause, resume and cancel controls.
  • Up to 10 import reports retained for 30 days, with complete CSV export.

The free plugin works without a license key, account or subscription. XML, JSON, URL sources and automatic supplier updates are provided by the separately installed Supplier Import Pro add-on. Premium implementation files are not included in this package.

Limits: UTF-8 CSV, up to 5 MB and 5,000 source products. Four distinct columns are required: SKU, name, price and stock. Supported products are simple products only. Images, categories, descriptions and variations are not supported in this version.

Prices use the store currency. Tax conversion is not performed. Existing sale prices are preserved. Imports may partly complete if individual rows fail. Pausing or cancelling does not undo changes already applied.

Support reports

Administrators can preview and download a diagnostic report containing software versions, a generic error category and import counters. Reports exclude site addresses, supplier URLs, credentials and product data. Optional reports can be emailed to the developer at cenariuv@gmail.com after explicit consent. Email delivery uses the store mail service. Nothing is sent automatically.

Privacy and languages

Supplier Import integrates with WordPress personal data export and erasure for known WordPress users. Export includes their import attribution and temporary diagnostic/session categories. Erasure removes their temporary Supplier Import data and anonymizes their import attribution; it keeps imported products, supplier settings and operational reports. It does not erase arbitrary personal information entered in supplier files, backups or email inboxes.

Import history is limited to 10 reports and 30 days. Cleanup runs through WordPress scheduled tasks and administration visits. Active and paused imports are kept until they finish or are cancelled. Suggested privacy policy text is available in the WordPress privacy policy guide and should be adapted by the site owner. WordPress needs the PHP ZipArchive extension to generate its personal data download.

The mail service may add sender details and delivery metadata. Reports already sent by email are not removed by WordPress personal data erasure.

The interface uses Romanian for Romanian locales. Other languages use available translations, with bundled English for untranslated messages. Saved supplier names and older report messages keep their original text.

Source code

The original, human-readable JavaScript and CSS sources are included directly in this package: assets/admin.js and assets/admin.css. These are the files loaded by the plugin. No compiled or minified counterpart, external source repository, third-party asset library or build tool is required. Edit these files directly; no npm, bundler or compilation step is needed.

Installation

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce.
  2. Upload and activate Supplier Import.
  3. Open WooCommerce > Supplier Import.
  4. Choose a supplier and upload its CSV file.
  5. Match the columns and click the preview button.
  6. Save supplier settings if desired, review the proposed changes and confirm.

FAQ-e

Does preview change products?

No. Changes are applied only after confirmation.

Will it publish new products?

No. New products are created as drafts.

How are products matched?

By SKU. Repeated SKUs in the same source are reported as errors. Products owned by another saved supplier are not taken over.

Does the plugin send my catalog to an external service?

The free plugin processes files on your WordPress server. It does not include analytics, license requests or an external catalog processing service.

Why does an import not advance immediately?

Background work uses WordPress scheduled tasks, which depend on site activity. You can process the next batch from the import panel. For predictable timing, your host can configure server cron.

Is there an undo button?

No. Import a corrected file or restore a backup to recover previous values. Back up your store before the first real import.

What happens when the plugin is removed?

Deactivation keeps settings and reports. Uninstalling deletes Supplier Import settings, reports and scheduled tasks. Imported products and their supplier association metadata remain in WooCommerce.
